Since 2020, the Mobilier National, a major player in contemporary creation and the promotion of French decorative arts, has launched an annual call for exceptional pieces from designers and galleries. These works are selected for their diversity, originality and richness, to reflect the vitality and influence of contemporary design and the new generation of designers. As heritage treasures of tomorrow, these pieces will be used to furnish the various emblematic official venues, such as the Élysée Palace.
The 2025 show saw the ‘Cadre de vélo’ chair by Léo Achard, a 2023 alumnus of the Camondo school, join the collections of the Mobilier national. Made from used BMX frames and scraps of leather. Part of the ‘Archetype’ collection, this chair underlines the eco-responsible and local approach that Léo strives to integrate into each of his projects.
Congratulations to Léo on this wonderful recognition of his work!
