Ruoxuan LI, a student at the Camondo school, is a finalist in the Accor Design Awards Luxury Edition competition with her project “Happy Frugality, The New Luxe – Sofitel Nourishing Garden”.

Taking inspiration from Philippe Madec’s manifesto for happy and creative frugality, which sees happy frugality as the identity of this new luxury, this project uses earth, bamboo and other bio-sourced resources to create a living environment in abundance, with a fruitful harvest of light, wind, fresh air and more. The definition of “happy frugality” is linked to generosity and happiness, an art of living in place, and a luxury sought after in the French art de vivre.

The first phase of the project was carried out with the participation of Tzuyu Liu in the Camondo school’s pedagogical framework, supervised by Emmanuel Bénet, who supported and guided the students along the way, enabling the project to be carried out successfully and concretely.
