The Camondo school
Ecole Camondo is an entity of the Arts Décoratifs.
Founded 75 years ago, it trains interior architects-designers in a five-year program, awarding a level 1 diploma in keeping with the French Department of higher education and research (Ministère de l’enseignement supérieur et de la recherche).
It benefits from a unique situation in Europe by leaning on a French cultural institution whose collections and resources highlight the importance of decorative arts, contemporary design, the excellent know how of craftsmen and industrialists and participates in their influence and transmission.
The Ecole Camondo, a reference amongst the schools of interior architecture, offers a unique curriculum that awards a diploma which rests on strong teaching methods in interior architecture and deign, completed by an array of subjects which develop the students’ creativity and singularity, for instance through plastic, sociological, anthropological, and semeiological approaches.

Higher education school of applied arts, it has centred its research on and by design, and has created in 2012 its research seminar: Ambiances pour habiter (Atmospheres for living).
In September 2019, the Ecole Camondo will open a second site in Toulon in the Chalucet sector, the new ‘creative learning district’ facing the Mediterranean.
