Rethinking the Great Hall of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs

Project workshop

13/02/2017

All 68 students from year 3 (class of 2016-2017) were asked to reorganise the Great hall of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs as part of their weekly semi-annual workshop. This year’s topic was: “ Public spaces, spaces for the public”.

Divided in 4 groups, our students individually worked for 13 weeks on the topic, under the direction of Jean Pierre Cornuet, Anne Sophie Harnisch, Margaret Iragui and Anne de Robert. Their work was assessed by their teachers. 16 ensuing projects were selected by a jury of practitioners (all partners of our School), last February 6th and 9th at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs.

4 prizes were awarded:

• the prize of the boldest project was awarded to Félicie Gueymard
• the prize of the most prospective project to Senwen Tan
• the prize of the most functional project to Agathe Poiri
• and the Special Jury Prize was awarded to Thimothée Soulié
